The Star of My Stage

I tied you up with ribbons, silk, and wit,

A velvet trap where the spotlight hit.

The curtains rose, the crowd leaned near,

You’re trembling, laughing, caught in my sphere.

Your smile’s too wide, your eyes too bright,

A marionette twirling under the lights.

They cheer for you—my captive star,

On center stage, you’ve come so far.

I painted your lips in crimson sheen,

A living canvas, wicked, obscene.

Each gasp you make, the cameras swoon,

A masterpiece beneath my tune.

Don’t pout, darling—this cage is divine,

It’s glitter, it’s satin, it’s wholly mine.

A snuff of the old life, gone with a wink,

Now drink the applause—don’t you dare blink.

Oh, my silly prize, my lovely show,

A captive jewel in the afterglow.

The world may laugh, but only I see—

You’re not destroyed… you’re art by me.
